Last weekend saw the Junior Ginetta Touring Car Championship move to Rockingham for rounds 17 and 18. Chris Swanwick the 15 year old from Greasley who attends Dagfa House School at Beeston who is in his first year in car racing, needed a good result to cement himself in 5th position in the Championship, but after a bad accident in practice on Friday were he hit a large concrete kerb at close to 70mph backwards his mechanics struggled to repair and set the car back up for timed qualifying on Saturday. Chris battled with the car throughout the timed qualifying period to get the best times he could, but on a circuit he had not raced at before the odd's were against him, and he ended up with P7 for both races...
